In 1976, the "White-and-Reds"—led by legendary coach Hubert Jerzy Wagner—played one of the most memorable tournaments in the history of Polish sport. They defeated the USSR team 3–2 in the final, with the victory decided by a thrilling tie-break.
The Przemyśl Volleyball-Playing Bear, depicted preparing to serve, serves as a reminder of this historic success while also paying tribute to Przemyśl's rich volleyball traditions.
