The creation of the Shepard’s figurine was inspired by the Town’s Embellishment Association in 1898. It is such a popular park sculpture, that it almost became one of the city’s symbol. The original sculpture is placed in the hall of city’s municipal office (in the main square), while the sculpture in the Park is merely a copy of the original, which was created because of a shameful tradition of breaking the shepard’s flute by vandals...
